Scottish Healthcare Workers Coalition calls for mask mandates in health & social care

On 16th July, the Scottish Healthcare Workers Coalition sent a detailed letter to the Scottish government urging a return to mask mandates across health and social care. The letter further calls on the government to provide effective FFP2 or FFP3 masks to all health and social care workers and to improve ventilation and air filtration in order to protect staff, patients and care home residents.

The letter provides links to dozens of scientific studies detailing the continued harm to health caused by Covid infections as well as the evidence around aerosol spread and effective infection control measures.
